Q: What is a Chocolate Tram?
A: A Passion wagon on wheels! See What is a Chocolate Tram for more details.
Q: Can I hire your Tram for my event?
A: Yes! We attend all manner and sorts of events with our Tram from: weddings, Summer parties, Winter Balls, Birthday parties; you name it, we've done it! See the section Hire the Chocolate Tram for more details. Please be aware that hiring our tram when it comes to costings, is like saying 'how long's a piece of string? It all depends on what you want to offer, how many guests , timings, location and so forth. Before we can give an accurate quote, we do need to know what you want!
Q: How far do you travel?
A: The Chocolate Tram is based in Kenilworth in Warwickshire (20 minutes to the right of Birmingham). If the hiring is beneficial to both you and us, we have no problems travelling to most parts of the country.
Q: What do you sell on board?
A: If YOU wish to hire the Chocolate Tram (for your event or function), we will discuss the menu in detail and provide only your requested items. However, for shows, events and fayres we attend, we are flexible enough to cater specifically for that particular show or event. As a general rule we will offer such items as: Belgian Hot Chocolate (many varieties and wicked concoctions!), fresh ground coffee (again different varieties - but freshly ground; NOT instant 'brown' coffee!), Belgian Chocolate, French Chocolate, Swiss Chocolate, Belgian Waffles, Belgian Cookies and pastries.
Q: How much does it cost to Hire the Chocolate Tram?
A: There are many factors that determine the price, factors such as, for example:
- Location of the event (travelling time and diesel/fuel costs),
- Is overnight accommodation required?
- How many guests / customers will attend the event/function?
- What items would you like us to serve on board?
- How long the function or event (hours or days)?
- Will power (electricity) be supplied or do we need to run off our own generator?
These and other questions will determine the cost. Please read Hire the Chocolate Tram page and then give us a call for a no-obligation discussion.
Q: What is the minimum and maximum number of people you can serve during an event or function?
A: If YOU are hiring the Chocolate Tram for your own event, there are no minimum or maximum numbers we can serve. However, one has to realistic and practical; It is simply not feasible to serve for example, 5,000 people with coffees, waffles, Paninis etc., in a two hour time frame!
On the other hand, if you wish us to attend a fayre, show or event and sell our chocolate, coffees etc. to the general public, the attendance figures will need to be several thousand. A fayre or summer fete with 300 people 'turning-up' is simply not feasible (financially) for us.
Q: What is the minimum or maximum hire period?
A: If you wish to hire the Chocolate Tram, there is no mimimum or maximum hire period (within reason!) Please bare in mind, we shall be travelling from Kenilworth in Warwickshire to your event location; time travelling and distance play are part in the overall costing. Once there, it will take approximately one to two hours to physically 'get ready' before we can serve the first morsel of chocolate!
If the event is right, with the 'right' number of attendees, we can attend events for several days or even weeks (such as GreenBelt Festival - Cheltenham for 3 days each year, GlastonBudget festival - for 3 days, Fuse Festival - 2 days, and so on).
In summary, if you wish to hire us, there are no mimimums and maximums; it's all by price negotiation. If you have an event you wish us to 'make money from', the variables have to be right. Once again, please give us a call or e-mail with the details and we can discuss them with you.
Q: I don't want to make a booking, but I do have serveral questions I'd like to ask you. Is it OK to call or e-mail you?
A: Yes! We won't bite and we're not professional sales people (you know, the pushy ones). If our tram is good for your event (products we offer, good PR for you and your event, something totally different, eye-appealing, a major focal point and so on and so forth) we will try our hardest to come to some arrangement that is beneficial to both you and us. If we're not quite what you want - not a problem; we might be able to steer you in the right direction! Give us a call on 0845 2300 337 (a local rate number) or e-mail us at info@thechocolatetram.co.uk
